This is a wild specimen of the popular Pecortia pleco, with vibrant lemon yellow fins and beautiful spots scattered all over its body. The color of its fins is particularly attractive, and it makes a striking presence when swimming or with its fins spread. It is highly mobile in the aquarium, making it a highly ornamental fish.
It prefers the shade of driftwood and rocks, and is active mainly at the bottom, pecking at moss and leftover food. It is relatively hardy and adapts well to its environment, making it an easy medium-sized pleco to incorporate into a mixed aquarium.
