This small, easy-to-handle Dwarf Snakehead features a brown-based body color with subtle hints of orange on the sides and fins, creating a charming yet elegant color scheme. The orange color intensifies with growth and condition, making this an attractive specimen that becomes more appealing the longer it is kept.
While relatively gentle, it is highly carnivorous, so it should generally be kept alone or carefully mixed with fish of the same size or larger. It is easily adapted to artificial and frozen food, and is a hardy and easy-to-care-for species. Due to its jumping ability, a lid is essential.
