Regenerated tail specimens have short tails with variations in thickness and texture, which are distinctive features of their appearance. They are relatively gentle, and once accustomed to their environment, it's easy to observe them emerging from their hiding places.

The basic approach to care for these geckos is to provide multiple hiding places in a cage with ample floor space, creating a temperature gradient between warm and cool areas.
