This species prefers a dry environment, so for young specimens, it is fine to just drip water onto part of the case, while for adults, it is fine to include a water container
They are not a particularly aggressive breed, but they may suddenly run when the lid is opened or closed or when they sense vibrations, so please be careful of them escaping
If you put in a lot of bedding material, they will dig holes in the ground and basically live in them, making them easier to handle
